Root Branching is in the tradition of the artist joke; think rhymes, riddles and writing. Oulipo meets Godot.
What did the branch(es) say to the roots? Come find out!
Collaborators include Jade Abner, Beverly Bajema, Elizabeth Chiles, Lisa Hayes: four interdisciplinary artists investigating life forces, wholeness, connectedness and play will be reciting and performing around Anya Gallaccio’s sculpture to see if time was there. Elizabeth Chiles’ project is supported by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
‘Weave’ at Grayduck Gallery
Weave, a solo exhibition of new work, will be on view at GrayDUCK Gallery, April 13 – May 20, 2018. Please join us for the opening reception the evening of the 13th.
Weave, and affiliated dance performance and workshop, SEED/BED by Julie Nathanielsz, are part of world-renowned performing arts festival, Fusebox.
Additional related programs include, Root Branching, a poetry performance at The Contemporary’s Laguna Gloria, May 5th with Jade Abner, Beverly Bajema and Lisa Hayes, and a free workshop exploring multi-dimensional color with artist and color theory lecturer Luanne Stovall, at Grayduck Gallery on May 12.
